Gel is a gift from Nature Natural gel is a viscosity that exist in the natural world. It is the gelatinous assumed to be 'sticky' and 'slimy' such as aloe vera, sea algae and clay. Wide range of natural gel exist, such as plant gel (plant in the sea and land), animal gel (fish) and mountain gel (mineral), and each has its characteristics. Human's skin cells have a viscosity factor that is related to its 'moisturizing ability', and is similar to the gel of the natural world. Gel cosmetics are developed based on this viscosity. LIPODERM professional products are made with this technology.
Gel cosmetics are made with natural gel as its base without using any emulsifying agents (used to mix oil with water). Certain emulsifying agents can cause skin irritation, especially to people with sensitive skin. Water retentivity, adsorbent, and permeability are characteristics of the skin products of made from gel. And because no oil is used, it does not disturb the cutaneous respiration of the skin. |
